He has extensive knowledge, track record, and transaction experience across multiple asset categories in the northwest Florida regional market.

Industry Experience

Wattenbarger earned double Bachelor of Science degrees in Real Estate and Finance from Florida State University College of Business. He holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM #15083) designation, earning him recognition as an expert in site selection, development, leasing, valuation, and investment analysis. He is a consistent top producer in the region. He commonly ranks in the top 1% in total volume within the Central Panhandle Association of Realtors (CPAR) (formerly the Bay County Association of Realtors). In addition, Kevin earned multiple national awards for outstanding production within the organization during his tenure with SVN.

Background

Kevin Wattenbarger's journey into commercial real estate is marked by a blend of distinguished military service and a deep-rooted passion for the industry. Before founding Five Bridges Real Estate Services Company, a leader in Panama City's commercial real estate market, Kevin played a pivotal role as the founding advisor for SVN Southland Commercial (originally Sperry Van Ness), established in 2009 in Panama City. His expertise was further honed during his tenure as an associate with GVA Advantis, where he contributed significantly to projects in both Tallahassee and Panama City Beach, Florida.

Kevin's professional path is underpinned by a strong commitment to service and excellence, a trait exemplified during his time as an infantryman in the United States Army. Enlisting in a time of national need, around the events of September 11th, 2001, he demonstrated unwavering dedication and bravery. As a veteran of multiple combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Kevin served with distinction in the Army's 3rd Infantry and 1st Armored Divisions. His service was recognized through prestigious awards such as the Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB), the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM), and multiple accolades for his meritorious service to the country.

This unique blend of military discipline, academic rigor from his formal education in Real Estate and Finance at Florida State University, and his professional achievements, including the coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, positions Kevin not just as a broker but as a trusted advisor and market expert in the commercial real estate landscape.

Community Involvement

Kevin serves on and is a member of numerous government, industry, and non-profit boards. He is a member of the CCIM Institute and was a 2007 recipient of the CCIM Designation Scholarship. He served as Co-Chair for the Florida CCIM Chapter. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and is the current president of the Bay High School Foundation.  Kevin is an alumnus of Leadership Bay and has recently been appointed to the Bay County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  He is married to his wife, Maggie, and they are proud parents to their daughter, Avery (age 10), and son Andrew (age 7).
